Salavat Catalyst Plant participated in The 8th All-Russian Zeolite Conference

Salavat Catalyst Plant participated in The 8th All-Russian Conference «Zeolite and mesoporous materials: Achievements and Prospects» held on June 18-20, 2018 in the capital of The Republic of Bashkortostan – Ufa. RuslanZotov, Director for Development in LLC SkatZ made a presentation on new developments in Catalytic cracking sector.

One of the key points of All-Russian Zeolite Conference was an analysis of zeolite catalyst operation and maintenance phase results, current developments and import substitution prospects in this sector. Salavat Catalyst Plant representatives shared their experience in research, production and introduction of new materials.

Key line of LLC SkatZ research for today is development of microspheroidal cracking catalyst of own production. Substantial growth in demand for catalysts of FCC process is expected in years to come. Due to tax manoeuvre in the oil industry — governmental reform aimed to increase the depth of oil-processing, — Russian oil-processing plants modernization has already begun. Brand new feature is technologies changeover from TSS Technologies where yield of gasolene is no more than 40% to FCC that make possible to process heavier raw materials and yield of gasoline is up to 60%.

RuslanZotov, Director for Development in LLC SkatZannounced that catalyst FCC is under development from 2014 at the plant. Scientific resources, many years' experience in main components catalyst (different forms of zeolite Y, zeolites of pentasil type, rare earth elements, etc.) operation and maintenance phase, European partners collaboration made it possible to develop modern technology of catalyst preparation FCC in a very short time and engage current infrastructure of the plant to the maximum.

Catalysts developed by SkatZ absolutely correspond to all the consumer requirements in high yield of light fractions, granulose composition, strength and other characteristics. Salavat Catalyst Plant plans to release various grades of catalysts FCC, oriented to specific raw materials and specific customer requirements. Salavat Catalyst Plant report aroused Conference participants' interest.

All-Russian Zeolite Conference was dedicated to the memory of Professor S.P. Zhdanov who had been the specialist in the field of synthesis and chemical structure of zeolite. Hosts of the Conference - the Russian Academy of Sciences, Federal Agency for Scientific Organizations, Russian Foundation for Basic Research, Institute of Catalysis and Petroleum Chemistry RAS, Moscow M.V. Lomonosov State University, A.V. Topchiev Institute of Petrochemical Synthesis RAS, N.D. Zelinsky Institute of Organic Chemistry, Boreskov Institute of Catalysis RAS, Non-profit «National Zeolite Association».
